Hello Beautiful Ladies,
I am soooo excited to be posting my very first
blog. I feel like God has given me a big
dream and this first post is my first step in fulfilling this dream.
Step 1: Start a blog
God has been calling me for a while to go forth and
teach His message to other women. Along
with my awesome, beautiful, bestest friend and sister-in-law, Jessica, we are
going to help “Women Get Real” and tackle real issues that women face.
The time is now.
It’s time to make a change. To
stop being stressed by my “busyness” and start doing what He has called me to
do. What has stopped me? Fear of failure, not knowing where to begin,
my tendency to think way beyond the moment and see so far down the road that I
get disappointed when my “big dreams” feel way too big to believe? Yes, yes and yes. But... Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all
things through Christ who strengthens me” (my absolute favorite verse in the
Bible). So, here it goes . . .
Step 2: Start an online bible study
I read the book, “Made To Crave” by Lysa
TerKurst in January and it honestly changed my life. I wanted to share what I learned with
everyone and anyone that would listen. I
feel God keeps putting it on my heart to speak to other women about it. So, I set out and asked all the ladies in our
church who would be interested in a small group and got an overwhelming
response! I’m soooo excited. Problem – everyone’s schedules. As much as I would love to teach this three
times a week, I just can’t do that. As
part of an awesome online bible study that I’m doing (props to Melissa Taylor
and Proverbs 31 Ministries for this “Stressed Less Living” online bible study),
I’ve decided to do my own “Made To Crave” bible study online. I got some great tips on how to do it, set up
my very own blog (yes, it’s a simple no frills blog, no judging!) and I’m ready
to go.
Step 3: (to be continued)
This is only the beginning of my dream, the
first wee step. Watch out world, God
gives me BIG dreams . . .
Shila
First of all, kudos to you! I think fear of failure and lack of knowledge as to how to start has stopped many of us, especially women (myself included) from pursuing the dreams God gives us!
ReplyDeleteKeep dreaming dear sister and God will keep fulfilling His promises.
